## Winning recipes
At the end of a nail-biting season, it was revealed that Zoë and Jordan were crowned the winners of Wizards of Baking. If anything makes us believe that magic is real, it was their finale showstopper. Not only did they have to recreate an iconic scene in the Great Hall, but it also had to be six feet tall! This talented duo took the mammoth task in their stride, creating a magnificent bake that even snowed. 

Now you can learn from these brilliant bakers and make your own culinary magic. Every witch or wizard needs a wand but why not a wand that tastes particularly delicious? Inspired by Zoë and Jordan’s bake in the very first episode, create your own out of shortbread.

Bloomsbury announce Levi Pinfold as the new illustrator of the Harry Potter Illustrated Editions series

From the moment that the Harry Potter Illustrated Editions series launched in 2015 with *Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone*, it became a global phenomenon. Jim Kay truly captured the essence of the wizarding world with his spectacular artwork that not only included breathtaking scenes and gorgeously detailed characters but truly brought the stories to life. It’s no wonder that these editions are so beloved by fans and new readers alike.  

After ten years at the helm, Jim Kay made the difficult decision to step back from the Harry Potter Illustrated Editions to focus on his mental health. The search then began to find a worthy successor to pick up the mantle and complete the journey. Today, Bloomsbury have announced that they have found that person. The multi-award-winning artist, Levi Pinfold, will illustrate the final two books in the series.  

Eagle-eyed fans might have spotted Levi’s work already. He has contributed to both Bloomsbury’s Harry Potter Hogwarts House Editions and *The Harry Potter Wizarding Almanac*, where he used his keen eye and incredible technical ability to capture the imagination of fans worldwide. 

Excited to be part of the journey, Levi has given us an insight into his vision for the next in the series of illustrated editions:

‘Being given the keys to Hogwarts and asked to explore feels exactly how it sounds… magical. These books are like old friends, and I feel incredibly lucky to attempt to share what I see in them. Visually speaking, *Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince* is like watching a firework display on the coldest, darkest of nights. That sense of wonder and awe is something I’d love to share with readers, my younger self and my own kids.’ 

With *Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince* set to be published in October 2026, releasing simultaneously with Scholastic in the US, fans will be able to see Levi’s artwork in all its splendour. For now, here is a sneak peek at what you can expect in the latest instalment of the series.

It’s clear that this series is in safe hands. The swirling mists of Dumbledore’s [Pensieve](/fact-file/objects/pensieve). The ethereal colour palette. The intricate details such as [Fawkes](/fact-file/characters-and-pets/fawkes) on his perch. Levi has certainly captured the magic of the stories.   

We’re not the only ones who recognises Levi’s talent. As Jim Kay himself recalls:  

‘An art director first showed me Levi’s work many years back when I was visiting a publisher. When he pulled open the drawer and I saw this beautiful piece of painting, I was blown away. His work has since then become so important to me, as he’s everything that you could wish for in an illustrator. It’s a huge comfort to know he is working on the Illustrated Editions, for which I’m so grateful, but also as a fan of both Potter and Pinfold, I’m really excited!’

Any visit to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is an out-of-this-world experience, but thanks to these new magical enhancements, Harry Potter fans can live their wizarding and witching fantasies in a whole new way.  

From 1st March, visitors can try out new interactive spell-casting across different sections of the parks, such as Hogsmeade at Universal Islands of Adventure, Diagon Alley at Universal Studios Florida, and – once Epic Universe opens later this year - [Place Cachée in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter - Ministry of Magic too! ](https://www.harrypotter.com/news/universal-epic-universe-reveals-more-details-about-the-wizarding-world-of-harry-potter-ministry-of-magic)

Previous visitors to [Universal Orlando Resort](https://www.harrypotter.com/discover-experiences/experiences/the-wizarding-world-of-harry-potter-universal-orlando-resort) may be aware of the interactive wands already (in fact, you may already be an expert!) but now, you’ll be able to cast even more spells and discover new ways to unlock magical moments.  

Available in four designs, these new special wands will give guests an even more immersive experience while visiting the parks’ locations. Using unique light and haptic effects, budding spell-casters can use the Universal Orlando Resort App to try out the magic, thanks to the app’s new feature, [Universal Play.](https://www.universalorlando.com/web/en/gb/things-to-do/universal-play/wand-magic) And there will be opportunities all across the park to cast spells, from tackling pixies in Hogsmeade to conjuring a Patronus in Knockturn Alley.

With every spell that you cast, you’ll even gain Hogwarts house points within the app, competing against fellow park-visitors during your stay. What competitive fun!

Visitors will be able to find the Second Generation Interactive Wands at Ollivander’s Wand Shop (naturally) and across various other locations in the resort.

## New Butterbeer products to look out for  

__Something sweet__

Especially for the season, Keebler have created special-edition Butterbeer Fudge Stripe Cookies that cleverly replicate the fluffy textures of cream soda and butterscotch. 

Meanwhile, Hershey’s have recreated their iconic Kisses with a Butterbeer theme – complete with wizarding world packaging. 

For something with more of a crunch, Goldfish have created Goldfish Butterbeer Flavored Grahams, packed with a butterscotch taste. And the snacks have even been shaped like a teeny tiny tankard and a Butterbeer keg to go along with the classic fish designs. 

In the US, Skinny Pop popcorn has also created a special Butterbeer flavour for the season, perfect for a Harry Potter movie marathon, are we right?

As mentioned above - we will indeed be seeing the return of the touring Butterbeer Truck.

In 2024, stateside Harry Potter fans discovered our friendly Butterbeer Truck crossing the country to deliver the comforting beverage wherever it parked. ## What is *Harry Potter and the Cursed Child*?
We’re sure that while most of you are aware of what *Harry Potter and the Cursed Child* is, there’s no harm in a quick refresher – it’s exactly the kind of thing Hermione would do. *Cursed Child* is the eighth Harry Potter story. A play, it was inspired by the original story by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany. 

Set 19 years after the *Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows*, Harry, Ron and Hermione are back. Although this time they are joined by the next wizarding generation. When Harry’s son, Albus, becomes friends with Draco Malfoy’s son, Scorpius, they end up on a brand-new adventure where the past, present and future are all at risk. With epic spells, friendship and theatrical magic that will make you question everything, this show will take you on a thrilling race through time.

While *Cursed Child* has always had a home across the pond in New York, it is now set to travel around North America on its 2025 tour.

This spring, a new pocket of magic is opening up on 676 N Michigan Avenue... Chicago’s very own (official!) Harry Potter shop.

Following the spellbinding delights of [Harry Potter New York](https://www.harrypotter.com/news/harry-potter-new-york-store-things-to-do), this thrilling new shopping experience promises to be a special hub for fans to find exclusive merchandise and take a break at the Butterbeer Bar once you’re finished.

There will also be a ‘Chicago section’ of the physical version of the shop – to make it extra special for natives. Here, you can discover your home city remixed with the wizarding world, and browse Harry Potter merchandise, such as jerseys, pins, caps and much more.

Coming April and May this year, Universal Studios Hollywood is launching Universal Fan Fest Nights across many of its parks, and for you readers, this means some exciting activities for The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. 

Guests will be able to bump into surprise magical creatures, such as the Niffler, the beautiful Occamy (which you can see below) and even a baby dragon (!) and then be treated to a breathtaking light projection show across Hogwarts castle – simply titled “Hogwarts Always”. This dazzling display promises to be a nostalgic delight – with the castle hosting beautiful music and classic Harry Potter moments projected across its walls.  

There will also be opportunities to try out some of the rides at night-time (if you dare!) such as Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey™ and Flight of the Hippogriff™.
